FRENCH FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNER

Get ready to learn French from the scratch. This level is for people that doesn’t have any knowledge in French. You will start to learn French from the alphabet, introducing yourself, greeting others and learn how to express some basic information about your day-to day-life. 

The teacher will help you learn French autonomously and coach you to find tools to speak French fluently. Lessons are designed for a small group, which is the best way to learn and develop your confidence. You will be encouraged to actively speak during each lesson. You will have personal attention and guidance. The lessons will help you acquire skills to speak French with native speakers in places like Paris and Montreal.   It will give you a glimpse of the rich language that has so much to offer. You will improve your French in a comfortable, friendly, stress-free environment. If you make an effort to study and be exposed to French like watching TV, progress is fast and guaranteed.

Come to learn oral French skills and start to speak with confidence.

 

Location: Global Village, 180 Bloor St West, UC level, Toronto.

Cost: $15.00 per lesson
or $120.00 for 10 lessons

COURSE CONTENT: Functional Objectives: - recognize basic sounds, rhythms and intonation of French - greet others - introduce oneself and others - become aware of communication strategies - ask and give for personal information - give one’s position, title and name of company - talk about family - locate objects and people in space - talk about one’s activities in day to day life

Grammatical Objectives: - subject pronouns - present tense - interrogative forms - negative forms - definite and indefinite articles - basic prepositions

Drop-in French Conversation Lessons

Would you like to learn French in a comfortable and friendly environment? Would you like to develop strategies to speak with confidence? Then join us for one of our weekly drop-in French lesson.

This group will help you acquire French skills to speak French with native speakers in places like Paris and Montréal. My method is to encourage you by speaking French in small groups, by expressing yourself on different topics and listening to others. I will coach you and correct your pronunciation and structure. Some grammar will be explained during each lesson but the emphasis will be on conversation. I will help you learn French autonomously and coach you to find tools to speak French more fluently.

If you make an effort to study, do some homework, read and watch vidéos in French, progress is guaranteed.
