The course provides an introduction to Facility Management (FM) and the expected knowledge, skills and behavior required to perform as a Facilities Manager. The course introduces the 11 core competencies as outlined by International Facility Management Association (IFMA).

The program is targeted at professionals working in industry-related roles and for those interested in exploring the profession of FM in both public and private sector companies. Those interested to enter the profession will learn how they might transfer their training and experience to this growing profession. Experience level could range from new employees in any industry to supervisors/ managers/directors not in an FM role seeking knowledge about the FM profession.

  • Apply knowledge of the 11 IFMA Core Competencies
  • Describe the role and responsibilities of the Facilities Manager.
  • Assess their current level of proficiency in FM based on the 11 IFMA Core Competencies
