Martti Pajunen is a Canadian writer, inspirational speaker, life celebration specialist, and parenting coach. Born in Kitchener, Ontario, his Finnish heritage comes through his grandparents who immigrated to Canada in the 1930’s. Born the second oldest
of 4 boys and the son of a Sr. Elementary school teacher, Martti grew up playing hockey, loving the outdoors, and appreciating the value of learning. Martti grew up in a conservative church tradition and after graduating from college, served within the denomination
for 25 years as Minister to Students and Families, consultant, college professor, and denominational youth director to 300 churches in Ontario and Quebec. As a Licensed Wedding Officiant and Certified Funeral Celebrant, Martti has conducted over 1700 weddings
ceremonies and 700 funeral services. The book, The Thirteenities, has been a long time initiative and has evolved over the years to what it is today. In addition Martti had launched several unique initiatives and businesses and aligned himself with like-minded
agencies to achieve win-win-win successes. He is the lead facilitator of the “From the Ground Up” corporate team-building exercise program at Strom’s Farm in Guelph, Ontario. He has mentored dozens of couples through the Prepare-Enrich marriage preparation
and enhancement program as a relationship coach. He recently entered the fashion industry when he launched marties, a division of the Olive and Arthur Clothing Company in Cambridge Ontario. The name marties plays on a nickname he had as a child because of
the unique spelling of his Scandinavian name. Turning a negative into a sustainable positive, marties produces sophisticated wedding bow tie sets from recycled, and sometimes memory, fabric.
